The Million Dollar Da Vinci Experience

Marvel at 61 working models of Leonardo Da Vinci's futuristic designs and inventions. Leonardo Da Vinci's inventions were precursors to the helicopter, tank, bicycle, glider, and robots. The 61 models were built over the past 30 years from photographic copies of Da Vinci's designs. And best of all, some of these exhibits will be interactive.

The North American debut of The Da Vinci Experience will take place in Palm Springs, California at the Palm Springs Air Museum. The exhibit will be held from November 3, 2006 to February 25, 2007. You will be able to walk through a recreation of a 15th century Tuscan village. There you can view reproductions of Da Vinci's paintings such as The Mona Lisa and The Last Supper and Leonardo's famous 'codas' or notebooks.

This is your only opportunity to view the genius of Leonardo Da Vinci on the west coast - only in Palm Springs, California. Enhance your experience by staying at one of Vacation Resorts International's four beautiful condominium style resorts.

I wouldn't mind seeing this exhibition, it sounds interesting....Also, my friends were in Palm springs this past April. They had a great time, and reported back that food and drinks are very reasonable....even in top notch places.....

Sounds interesting.....there is a lot of availability in the Palm Springs area for the New Years first week of the year period.

          Sounds Great

We purchased a resale DBZ early this year and had the seller reserve week 52 for us as part of the deal. We weren't sure about using that week or banking but now we have decided to take it as a special vacation and will be sure to go to this exhibit. Thanks for the heads-up. We will also go to a restaurant we really enjoy ... the Uptown Cafe in old downtown. Nice ambiance, great food, 2 for 1 entree specials, pleasant live music. We had Mother's Day dinner there with Mom with no holds barred and spent a pleasant 2 hours for under $100 for 3 (generous tip included.) Anyone have other reccomendations?

Wow, that sounds incredible. Too bad my family that was down in that area has moved away. Sounds like something right up my mom's alley.

For anyone who would need any more reason than golf and great weather?

There also food and wine. LOL

We live just an hour away from Palm Springs and visit there frequently for 2 or 3 nights at a time. The Follies are great and if you are into casinos, they have 6 in the area. Our favorite casino in Palm Springs is the The Spa in downtown Palm Springs. The tram is a pretty awesome experience. It is has the highest vertical climb of any tram in the world. If you take the tram, make sure you dress warmly as it will be cold with snow at the top in the winter. It is like going into another world.

The Davinci Experience is getting rave reviews and is certainly worth visiting. We'll be going later this month.

Several of the VRI condominiums are quite nice but one of my favorite TS here in the valley is Desert Breezes. Alas, now that we've moved down here from Northern California, I can no longer trade into it.

Bill and I are going to be staying at the Welk Resort in Cathedral Canyon December 9-16, so we will definitely go to see the Da Vinci exhibit.

It should be a full week, with the golf, the casinos, the tram and other sights in the area.

                          Looking forward to it!
