  • Does anyone own at Welk Resort in Escondido?

My husband and I bought a unit there a few months ago and I am wondering what other people think about it.

    Great

We've owned there for several years and it has been great. We trade our other resorts and trade Welk about every other year but when we really want to relax it's Welk for us. It is always one of the top rated resorts.
We have been there with guests and they also loved it.
Close enough to San Diego and the Mexico border for easy trips, close enough to the beach also. Disney is a little harder but we've done it from Welk a few times. I think you made a wise choice.

I don't own there but traded in for Thanksgiving last week. We had 2 units in the new section Villas on the Green. We had 12 people with us rangining in age from 4 yrs to 59 years old. Everyone loved it. They have stuff going on all the time to keep the kids happy and it is close to everything. The units where awesome as well. We considered buying but already own 4 weeks in Mexico so decided against it since we have a tough time using those.

LW is one of our favorite resorts to stay at. The older units are beautiful and welll kept. They have lots of activities including free golf clinics and low cost golf. The only reason we don't own is because of the high maint. fee. It is one of the nicest resorts I have been to. Debby

Is it hard to exchange into this resort?

No, in fact, it's one of the easiest resorts to exchange into in Southern California. The reasons for this are:

            1) It's a huge resort

            2) It's an older resort...so lots of owners are now looking to exchange

            3) It is not on the beach

Going to Welk in two weeks

Any advice on sections to request, etc.? I know away from the highway, and to ask for a refurbished unit. Anything else?

Also, don't they have Broadband in the units for a fee?

              Thanks.

                I just called

They have us in unit #210 in the Broadway Hill section. Is that a good unit/area?

                Thanks.
