We are going to San Francisco in the early Spring, 2016. Any recommendations on what we should not miss? We are staying at the Inn at the Opera. Any good resources on Public Transportation?

If you have time, take a tour to Muir Woods, about 45 minutes away. The redwoods are beautiful. We took a tour bus there, and it also stopped at the lovely village of Sausalito.Jacki

Second the recommendation for Muir Woods.
Also, I recommend a tour of Alcatraz. It's good to book those ahead of time as they can fill up. Golden Gate Park, and it's museums is worth time. Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf and Ghiradelli Square are touristy, but fun
We found a wonderful Italian restaurant near Union Square when we were there in October, Fino. http://finoristorante.com/Luanne
