  • What is the Temps during Febuary in Calf?

My Sil needs to know if she needs bathing suits or not for our Feb trip to Disney. She is packing her summer cloths and is not sure what she needs. Me of course I keep cloths out to wear for all year long.

The weather can be nice in February, but I don't think it's swimsuit weather, but ya never know. Have her throw one in just in case. I know when I used to come here from Colorado it seemed warmer to me than it does now that I'm acclimated to the weather.

It depends.....is the pool heated?.....Do they have a jacuzzi? Then yeah....bring the bathing suit. But it can get cold here as well....that is relative to other places of course.....but be ready for some possible chilly temps as well. Ya never know in Cali.

February, swimming, I think not. But then again I'm a native California weather wimp. We put on winter coats when it reaches 70. I usually throw in a bathing suit on any trip where I know the hotel has a pool/hot tub. My younger dd and I were sitting in the outdoor hot tub in Taos in February (it snowed earlier that day).

No swimming in the ocean unless you have a heavy wetsuit on. Swimming in a heated pool is OK if the sun is out because the air temperature will not be freezing when you come out of the pool. Heavy jacket at night because CA evenings are almost always cold. JMHO. We may have rain too so tell your SIL to be prepared for any kind of weather.

PS. I would leave the summer clothes home!

Me too! But I've seen fools in shorts all year round (usually male fools).

Well I would take my shorts and my swim suit too. I may be a fool but oh well
Many times in the LA area it can be in the 70's or maybe even the 80's so why not be prepared. You could check weather.com

Heck, I grew up in southern California and up until a few months ago still had family there. My nephew is one of those "fools" who generally wore shorts year round. My younger dd and I were in Anaheim in March this year. We were bundled up and had to buy hats and gloves the last night we were there. We brought NO shorts with us, and certainly didn't need them. But remember, I've already said I'm a weather wimp.

If she is coming from a place that has a cold winter bring shorts. It the temperature is a little warmer bring cotton pants. If she is coming from a mild temperature bring sweats or jeans. She should bring the swim suit if there is a hot tub.

The safest thing would to bring several layers of light clothing. That way she can add and delete as needed through out her stay.

When the Superbowl was in San Diego it was about 68 degrees outside. We were saying you could tell who came in from out of town, they were running around in shorts and tshirts. You could tell who the natives were, they were wearing parkas.

The big thing about the weather in February is that is is highly unpredictable. It can be sunny and warm, chilly, rainy or whatever. February is typically one of the worst months weather-wise. Just be prepared for anything except you probably will not need snowshoes.
