  • Looks like CA prop 88 won't pass

    The $50 real estate tax per parcel has a 20% yes, 80% no vote with only 9% of precincts reporting. Even though so few precincts have reported, that large a difference suggests the proposition won't pass.

    That's great news. I actually got an email from Interval Int'l talking about this proposition.

      Just as I expected.

      CA had a lot of propositions this time. A far amount of folks like myself just vote not if it involves raising taxes no matter how worthy the cause.

      Several years ago the CA lotto was suppose to help schools with more funding. As far as I can see the schools have about the same amount of money they have always had.

        I agree. And especially with at least four propositions asking for more taxes, I was determined to vote no for them all.
