Carlsbad Inn

We are headed to Carlsbad Inn in about 2 1/2 weeks. Do all the balconies face the courtyard, or do some face the road? We have a 2 bedroom reserved. Also, I have read on here about some people being lucky enough to get an ocean view. How easy is it to get an ocean view or a top floor? Does anyone else have any other recommendations for us? Thanks.

Yes, some of the units do face the side road, while others face the courtyard and a few are ocean face and many are ocean view.

You could call the Carlsbad Inn and place a request for an ocean view and a top floor. I had a one bedroom and that request was granted.

If you get an outside unit I think that the traffic on the North side is more quiet than on the the South side because of the angle of the road. As Bill suggested, do call ahead, they do try and honor requests. Have fun, the Village is a fun place to walk around and explore.
