The weather has been so crazy everywhere lately that it it hard to predict, but as long as you're not thinking about the beach as your only entertainment then San Diego would be fun for your grandson. The ocean water will still be cold, but the beach could be ok for sunning and walking. I know lots of people who drive to Disneyland or Knotts Berry Farm from SD as a day trip so you would have lots of things available to you.Vicki

I have to agree, the weather is nuts. In mid-Michigan this week we have enjoyed mid 40's etc. It's crazy, I went bike riding today. I am trying very hard to get the X-mas spirit, but no snow, it's hard to do. It feels like October, but instead we are trimming the tree. We are hoping to head to up-north (northern Mi) for skiing over x-mas, but not sure that is going to happen.Vanessa

Well we had our first real days of winter here in So. Cal the last couple of days. Some rain yesterday....snow in our local mountains....highs in the high 50's to low 60's and lows in the mid 30's.
Most of last week were highs in the mid 70's. It is clearing up now...still cold...but So. Cal is at its most scenic beauty after our 'winter' storms clean everything up, it is clear, and while you are at the beach you can see the snow in the mountains."If a Nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.... If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed."
