  • Grand Pacific Resort Services - these are the resorts managed by GP.

Management contracts come and go. We have seen a GPR affiliated relationship with many resorts over the years. Some still have the affiliation and some don't. I just ran across this and I am not sure if it is up to date but here are the resorts that are actually managed by GP.

Does anyone have a different list?

I'm not sure where Olympic Village Inn fits. I do send payments to the GPR group.

Villa L'Auberge is currently in the midst of a fight to takeover control of the BOD. There is currently a 3-2 split with the majority friendly to GPR and the minority seemingly predisposed toward becoming independent of GPR. Two of the majority (and none of the minority) are up for re-election this year - and have recommended voting for 2 specific candidates to take their places. The minority have identified 1 candidate who is aligned with their position and are encouraging owners to exercise their right to cumulative voting - and to use both their votes for in favor of their candidate. If the candidate aligned with the minority view wins one of the open Board seats the minority will be in control of the new Board. Personally, I side with the majority on this - but we are getting lots of mail lobbying for one side or the other. The vote is in the next couple of weeks and it will be interesting to see what happens!!

We own at GPP and Alii Kai (located in Princeville, Kauai) and we pay our fees to Grand Pacific Resorts and call them for info. I think Alii Kai is still a GPR resort. (I peeked at RCI the other day and (when Alii Kai had availability for my search) they had some blurb about GPR resort owners being exempt from some trade rule when exchanging into Alii Kai.)

Just to follow up on my earlier post regarding the fight to take control of the Board of Directors at Villa L'Auberge - in a close election, the 2 board seats were won by the candidates who are aligned with the interests of Grand Pacific Resorts (and the majority of the current board). It must have been quite heated because I received the minutes of the Board meeting following the election and the 2 dissident directors (whose terms were continuing) left the premises after the Board vote was announced and did not attend the directors meeting!

I don't see Grand Pacific MarBrisa Resort in the list. It is listed on their site and is a joint venture with HGVC. I wonder if this will trade within the Grand Pacific network as I believe I've read that reservations are made through HGVC???? Anyone heard anything on this?

My understading is that it will not be one of the GPR resorts and their will be no trading or any other benefits for GPR owners. But owners at GPP do provide all the sales support for Marbrisa including use of offices, ballrooms, unit upgrades, game room, and a list of other things. I don't think we get much if anything for it.
