Is October A Decent Month To Go To Palm Springs?

The California Coast is absolutely wonderful in October. September and October miss the crowds but usually get the great weather. There is a lot of golf in the San Diego area.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Carlsbad is close enough. Four Seasons Aviara.
Or see this thread. I am not that familiar with II.

San Diego has the best climate in California so most of the year is a good time unless we have big rain storms but they don't last that long. We hardly have had any this winter so that's why we are having so many fires already so early in the year.
Angela, if you can snatch the FS Aviara, you are in for a real treat. I stayed a few nights there a few weeks ago. You will love staying here. Also, October is our favorite time staying on the coast as it is still warm but not too crowded.
PS. Also read this great thread that John posted.

Thanks Emmy....I will take a look at the link. I was just wondering what timeshares, are actually in San Diego. Of course I would love to stay at the FS, and then there's also the Marriott. Would you know how far these resorts are from San Diego? Thanks!!Angela

There IS a reason why Palm Desert/Springs is a tough trade during March.
I would not risk the courses in Oct if that is the sole purpose of your visit. It is a pleasant time to stay if golf isn't the reason.
Now SCal coastal in October is a dream.Lawren

The Marriott NCVs are way too far if you want to stay in San Diego but is OK if you want to go there for a day but there is so much to see in the San Diego area too so you will need more time.
The FS Aviara is only 15 miles away. There are timeshares in SD but others will comment on that because I have never been to or seen any there yet.

Yeah, I don't think it's worth the risk of the weater, and the golf courses, being closed. I will talk to DH about So Cal.

Emmy....Thanks, good to know that FS is only 15 miles away. The only thing is that I'm not sure that I can get in there. You know how that works....I might get lucky, but I would also need a back-up.
I am going to take a look at the golf link that you provided for Palm Springs, too. Thanks !!!
