Heavenly Valley Townhouses v Ridge Tahoe

Doing what I do best... obsessing at the last minute....

I know Ridge Tahoe is 5 star, but has anyone been to Heavenly Valley Townhouses? Looks like they've been recently refurbished and are quite large. Is the location better than Ridge Tahoe? Are the units quiet? Negatives?

Any quick help would be appreciated...

ps: anyone else think that CA and NV shouldn't be in separate forums, or that there should at least be a Lake Tahoe subforum?

Ridge Tahoe is on top of Kingsbury grade, which is a windy road on the Nevada side. The resort is six to ten miles away from the casinos and the lake. All there is to do up there is to ski. So if you wanted to go in to town to eat or gamble its 6 to 10 mil all down hill.

Heavenly Valley Townhouses is with in minutes to the ski resort on the California side and walking distance to the casino and lake about 20 min., about a 10 min walk to the ski resort. I feel that for your boys this resort would be easier for you to entertain them by going to the lake or ski resort or anything else going on in town.

I have never stayed at these resorts so I’m not sure what they look like but I feel that the Heavenly Valley Townhouse is a better location.

Heavenly Timeshare

We stayed there about 7 years ago and the units were huge. We were in the area for a wedding and had several family members staying with us including my in-laws. They loved the location so much that they wanted to know if they could buy. We already own for places, so we talked them out of it because (summer) it was an easy trade for us. Units are huge though.
I would also agree that much more to do around the immediate area where you do have a drive to the Ridge.
