Tahoe restaurant (and spa?) reco's?

GREETINGS from South Lake Tahoe - unbelievably beautiful weather.....highs around 70ish...lows do go to 30's....but clear and bright - we did the heavenly gondola on Saturday and the Squaw Valley one on Sunday - also stopped to see Emerald bay as we drove around - just magnificent.

In fact, all this beauty is overwhelming....

We walked down from Worldmark to the Nevada beach for sunset....

Today we are going on the Dixie paddle boat at 11 - really looking forward to that and actually being in Emerald Bay and looking UP at those mountain peaks.

At at the Lakeside casino last evening - very reasonable but ordinary food - think I will go check out 'montbleu'(sp) tonight or tomorrow.

Had to buy a sweatshirt...a little cooler then I anticipated.

Kapish, I can see why this is a favorite of your family - a great area and lovely resort.

Tahoe in the Fall > Gorgeous!

Pat, Glad you are having fun in Tahoe. Hope you don't mind the less crowded beaches and roads around Tahoe. Make sure to spend a day at North Lake Tahoe and enjoy the communities and beaches in that area too!

Pat, Looks like the weather turned a little cold over at Tahoe, eh? I hear there are chain controls on Highway 88 (but not on 50 and 89.)

Forecast suggests South Shore is expecting snow and rain for the next three days! Yikes! Hope you are still having fun at Tahoe.

We were very lucky with the weather....Friday 9/14 thru Tuesday 9/18 was just beautiful - high in the low 70's - maybe high 60's.
it did cool down at night - to the 50's by 11pm.
Predicted rain on Wednesday - had a few sprinkles only in the daytime...I took the 'Blue.Go' bus into town and walked around and shopped - my friends went over to Virginia City and have a perfect day.
It was in the 40's by 11pm and we woke up Thursday morning to snow on the mountains - very beautiful!

We went to Taylor Creek Park on the CA side of the lake...I will post a few pictures tomorrow.
