  • Feedback On Aquamarine Villas, Oceanside

Have seen a couple of weeks for sale on Aqumarine Villas in Oceanside
Appreciate any feedback pros and cons on this resort and what may be considered a "fair" price to purchase. Thanks in advance

When you decide what your fair offer/price should be... I am adjusting my portfolio and have a 1BR HIGH Float available, you don't want the SWIN Float unless that's what you want to use. Summer weeks are TIGER traders in RCI.

Be sure to check out the following threads:

How would you rank the California Coastal Resorts II

As far as price goes look at prices on Ebay for that resort and the completed auctions as well. I also recommend that you get a summer week which has been reported to be a tiger trader in RCI. Do not get a non summer week as it will not trade as well.

It is also worth a little more if the current owner has a good week reserved for 2008 and 2009. They allow you to reserve 2 years in advance. Summer weeks are reserved at exactly 2 years out. Summer is almost over (EEK!) so you wouldn't close before being able to reserve a summer 2009 week.

          Good luck.

Historically, AV has been a favored resort with RCI.

              cheap on ebay

This one just sold for under $600 on ebay, but that's extremely low for this property. The 2008 week was not reserved yet, so the buyer won't be able to get a good week. If I were to buy that week, I would consider the 2008 and possibly the 2009 maintnance fees as part of the cost because they wouldn't be good for trading. That adds $1000 to the cost, but $1600 is still a good price for a float week that includes summer and has 2 weeks for trading. I paid $2200 for my AMV week 3 years ago, but that was before the prices of some timeshares became so depressssed due to the postcard companies flooding ebay with them. (At least that's my theory of why resale prices have dropped so low in the past 2 years...)

              Good luck with your purchase.
