  • Oasis Villas..a very nice place

We just spent 2 very pleasant weeks in Palm Springs at this resort. We had a 2 bedroom downstairs unit we got trading at II with a 1 bdrm unit and a bonus certificate. We stayed in the same unit for both weeks. Everything was clean & comfortable and the view from our patio faced the sunset over the mountains. The grounds are really nice but there is constant noise from all the power equipment used by the gardeners to keep it well groomed.

The weather was fabulous the entire time and we really enjoyed using the pools. There are 8 of them scattered around the property. The front desk crew is very pleasant & helpful. There is free internet, including a lobby computer and in-room service for laptops. There are 3 very well maintained tennis courts and 2 bicycles in every garage. There is a gas barbeque for each unit on the patio. I really liked this place & will definitely return.

I found a link for it in our resort database http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...php?resort=757

It would be great to post your comments there - click the link on the right side of the page that say 'Review this resort' - you will be able to copy and paste your comments for 'eternity' .

DD says it was HOT in Palm Springs last week but she isn't used to the desert weather
Here is the II link Resort Directory | Vacation Internationale - Oasis Villa Resort looks VERY nice.

We go to Palm Springs often, and the last time we stayed at Mission Hills. We decided on about day three that Villas Oasis was our favourite and that from now on that is where we would look for an exchange first.

Wow, that is quite an endorsement!
I have stayed at the 2 Marriott's and the Westin Missions Hills - i will need to look into the Oasis.....what is it exactly that makes Oasis stand out?

We also loved the Oasis and are booked for our second stay next March. I just happened to notice a week available when searching the area with RCI Points. This was the first time I had ever seen it come up. Our first stay was booked with SFX. The grounds are beautiful and I love the fact that there are several pools including one for adults only so there is always a quiet place to sit. Also enjoyed having our own small backyard area with a gas grill.

I think the way the development is laid out is appealing. It is a mixed use resort with 1 & 2 story condos & houses with attached garages in a gated environment. It seemed like about 1/2 are timeshare & many are full time residences. The single road meanders in a loop around giving the place the feel of a neighborhood rather than a timeshare development. I have stayed at Marriott I and Desert Breezes and like them both very much. But Oasis is my favorite out of the 3.

It probably wouldn't suit the folks who prefer the mega resorts since the pools are all small, more like a large backyard pool. But there were many times when we were the only ones there although the resort was pretty full. There is no on-site restaurant or spa, and only a few organized activities. There is no poolside bar. There is no mid-week maid service. There were never any lounge hogs or loud groups of splashing children although there were plenty of family groups and everyone had floaty thingies to use in the pools. It is exactly the sort of "resort" we like.

Pat, the temps never got over 95 and cooled down every night. We were at Marriott last September when it was 110+ everyday! I will write a more detailed review and enter it in the review section today.

Yes I think it is the community feel of the place that is so inviting, as well as the service people who seem genuinely interested in ensuring that your stay is an excellent one.
