San Francisco - September/October

My wife has had double knee replacement and steps aren't easy for her, are there any timeshares that we should avoid in San Francisco?

I recommend the Donatello, the Suites at Fishermen's Wharf, or the Inn at the Opera. All are on flat streets (or nearly so in a very hilly city) with easy access via a bus (with lifting devices to ease access) and cabs.

The Jackson Court is also on a flat street but no bus service. Cabs would need to be called via phone I think. The resort is a few blocks off the streets the cabs frequent.

Not sure, have some banked with SFX, RCI and II. Also, we are trying to decide if we go this year or next. We already have something booked in CO for September of this year. We we go in 2009, then we could bank something with TPI and consider that as an option too.

do you mind me asking, Connie, how you worked that exchange? Was it a regular exchange or something last minute?

I'm hoping to get some last minute availability, either through rental from Wyndham or whatever to that resort in mid September. It goes against my nature not to firm up plans now but I only need three days and hate to "waste" a whole week.

It was a regular week exchange, planned about 10 months or so ahead of time. Good luck getting what you want!
