Where is the nearest major airport closest to the resort? Are LAX and San Diego airports close by? Is Disneyland and Legoland within driving distance? Thank you!

John Wayne- SNA would be the closest.

LAX is closer than San Diego but John Wayne is very close. Yes, Disneyland and Legoland are in driving distance but try to drive outside traffic jam hours.

Long Beach is another great choice for Airports near Newport. There are several city that fly direct to Long Beach, Seattle and Dallas being two.

Disney is within 20 minutes of Newport and Lego land is 45 minutes. Caution everything in SoCal is subject to traffic. And sometimes traffic is real bad for a real long time.
