Winners Circle or Southern California Beach Club?

Trying to chose between a studio at Southern California Beach Club or a 1br at Winner's Circle next February. Leaning towards the former but it is smaller, has no pool and would mean we could not book into a number of SCal resorts for the next four years (1 in 4 rule). This is a week getaway for my wife and I in which we just want to hang out, walk some beaches and do a bit of shopping.
I've read the reviews but would be interested in your thoughts.

It is usually kind of cool in SCal in February. Too cold for a pool, at least for me. I would choose the beachfront location. There are other companies that can get you back to southern california than RCI and the inane 1-in-4 rule.
