I have a Marriott Desert Springs Villas on hold with DAE (I was suprised) for the end of Sept. We are not golfers so are wondering what types of things there are to do and if the last of Sept is a good time to go??

We have never been to the area and I am not sure if it is an area we would enjoy.

        Thanks for the info Pat.

I let it go, I decided it was too close to the week I have at the Royal Haciendas in October.

It was just one of those that is unusual for DAE. Hopefully they will start getting more like it.

We live just an hour away from Palm Springs and visit there frequently. September is typically a very slow month in Palm Springs so it doesn't surprise me at all that you got the exchange from DAE or anybody.

Would you say it is because September can be very very very hot? End of September though October it becomes bearable again.

I think the surprising part was that it was deposited in DAE not II ....it seems as if the 'alternatives' are catching on.

That is definitely the main reason. September can often be one of the hotter months of the year. The prime season in the Palm Springs area is mid-February - April and a few holiday weeks like Thanksgiving. Outside of these times it is very easy to get a timeshare there.
