The Cottage

Lawren, sort of off-topic, but is The Cottage still in Laguna? Used to be one of my favorites. My mom worked in an art gallery right down the street from there (the gallery is long gone).

Yes, the Cottage Restaurant is still there but it was closed when we tried to go there or we came too late. I didn't notice this post until now, Luanne.

Also, is there a Laguna Sands timeshare in Laguna Beach? I have never heard of it nor can I find it in the data base here. These similar names are confusing.

What a lovely afternoon. Not weatherwise as some left-over June Gloom has slipped in but I got to meet a few of our SCal members. 4ARedOctober, StressCadet and her DD and Emmy with her DH.

Our plans had to change as a broken ankle limits my mobility and I was so pleased that they were happy to come visit me here at Laguna Surf. A lovely lunch ensuite and happy non-stop chatter made for a wonderful time.

I always enjoy putting faces and personalities with the member names.

It was a fun afternoon and the time passed by so quickly. I enjoyed seeing L2 and 4ARed again as well as meeting SC and the two teen-agers too. They seemed to enjoy themselves and L2's son took a dip in the ocean while it was far from warm today.

Great seeing you all. Thanks so much for the lunch and company. It was like we were brothers and sisters....the kind that get along. It was fun. Wish we had more time.

Zero traffic..hardly touched the brakes at all. It pays to overstay your welcome.

Ditto on what everyone else has said. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon...with good friends...that you have never met before-LOL!

Ang, it had been so long since I was last in Laguna. Keep your exchange-you are just going to love it-really.

Lawren, ask your son about the conversation that was held in the Spa regarding how he and my daughter knew each other...Classic!

I received a confirmation from Laguna Shores today, and it came with a map. Looks like 218 is a corner unit, and is tucked behind unit 223. Unit 223 is ocean front, and on an angle, so it doesn't appear to totally block out unit 218.....I'm hoping for the best.

BTW, what's with the tax situation on CA timeshares? It says that I need to pay $15.60 a day for taxes. Is that normal? I didn't have to pay any taxes when I stayed at the Westin in Rancho Mirage.
