Resort map of Welk Escondido? Where is kids' pool?

I'm planning to put in a request for Welk, but can't decide between the new units and old (VLW vs LWR) from what I read. So really, I think it will come down to location. Where are all the pools and kids activities? In this boulder creek I read about? Where is that in relation to the old villas and newer villas on the green?

Can't find a resort map on the welk website for the life of me!

If you ever found this info out I'd love to know. I was looking at possibly taking my kids to Welk sometime in the next year.

Kinda, and I'm trying to remember exactly. I have an old map and I compared on google maps. Then I called them directly. The conclusion I came to is I want to be in villas on the green because it is the closest (I think the pool area is smack in the middle of those). The person on the phone also mentioned the mountain villas because they will have their own version of that kids pool and a bigger slide later this year. She said none of it is a huge walk to the one in Villas on the Green, but in looking at the maps, I'm not sure I'd agree when draggin my 4 yo and all his gear across the resort to the pool. It also looks like Villas on the Green is closer to the "action" of the rest of the resort, like the theater and restaurants.

Thanks Julieab! If we end up going to Welk I'll have to call and find out how that pool is coming in the Moutain Villas. Otherwise, if I have a choice, I'm with you, it's better not to haul the kids and their gear across the resort.

I would like a copy of the map, too. Will it be warm enough to swim the first week of April? Are the pools heated?

I was there last Jan (08) and it was rather cool and overcast so I didn't use the pools--don't know/remember if they are heated. Sorry. However, given the location (Escondido) and the variations in weather, I'd be somewhat surprised if at least one of the pools wasn't heated.
