Booking Powell Place San Francisco for 2009. Would like to know a strong week ending on a Friday during the months of October, November & December. Was going to book 12/25/09 to 1/1/2010 BUT since January 1st in 2010 falls on a Friday that would mean checkout would be on New Years Day… bad idea.

Should I just book 4th of July week even though it was six months ago?

What would be the strongest date to book with rci?

I imagine the Friday check-in of the Columbus day weekend would be a good October week.
And u would still be depositing 10 months out.
I believe the date would be 10/10/09 but please double check to see if I am correct.

I don't know if this will help with your decision, but I went to Interval and looked at the demand index. The most demanded week in SF is 26, followed by 22, 23, 27, 51 and 52 in second most demanded place. Weeks 31 and 40 are the third most demanded.

For September supply meets ddemand, according to Interval. October would be week 40, which I believe is usually Columbus Day. November has more supply than demand and December would be weeks 51 and 52, but agree that check out on New Year's Day would stink!

I used Club Donatello as the benchmark.

If you book week 27 you should have July 4th. I own a week 27 at a beach resort and it trades fantastically through RCI.

If I were going to book a week for deposit it would either be the week with July 4th or the week with New Year's.

If you need to stay a day before or leave a day or two later in SF use Price line, I had booked 4 nights at the Westin St Francis and paid $45 a night. Now it might be $60 for a 4 star hotel but it is so cheap that it pays to use price line for SF.

I think you will do well no matter where you deposit week 52 SFO Ken.

Sorry I was traveling and didn't see this before you booked but that would have been my suggestion anyway.

Before you give it to the evil empire maybe you should consider where you want to go and if an Independent could serve your needs.

I was thinking Independent or a Direct Exchange.

I didn't see this until now as well....I would go for 4th of July if it were for an RCI booking. And also other July weeks. Then I would look at week 52. It really does not matter if the holiday fall at the beginning or end as far as I understand the system.

As far as II and the independents go I am not sure.
