Ive read the post/reviews on the S. cali resorts. Many say, get an ocean side room.... isnt it luck of draw or can you actually request that?

Im wanting something Right on the beach or a short walk to lug 2 children to. suggestions?

It never hurts to ask. The policy differs from resort to resort. How full the resort is when you visit plays a part at those resorts that are flexible. If a resort does take requests, most of the time any owners that are staying there get preference.

The only way to make sure you get the view you want is to buy a fixed unit that gives you what you are looking for and use it every year.
