Out of the 10 or so resorts that are managed by Grand Pacific.
So Cal Beach Club is the only one that is really owner controlled.

The others have at least 3 from management and the non management, most of the boards seem to have the same group of 5 , give or take one .. here and there.

The point you make about the approved candidates.. HGVC does this.
I ran for the board at HGVC Flamingo.. I didn't even get approved to be on the ballot. The President of the HOA of this sold out resort.. Is the VP of HGVC

Is that amazing or what....over there sure has changed in the last couple of years....sad.

      Pause is indeed smart.

      Just gives me pause.

I forgot to add: I visited the beach club for the first time right after the board meeting and it really is an amazing location! I have friends who live right on the beach in Venice, and it reminded me of their location (Of course, Oceanside and Venice have very different communities). It was truly right on the beach and I'm looking forward to bringing the kids down sometime soon.
