  • More Than the Mouse

Many in timeshare don't know much more about Florida than Orlando. Here's a comment in today's paper about the cold spell:

"Tourism has a $65 billion annual economic impact statewide and the first three months of the year provide nearly 30 percent of that total."

    The Snowbird effect.

Thank God for the snowbirds. Costco was packed with Canadian license plates last week when I went.

Unfortunately it keeps us busy too at the hospital, we always get a few sick birds that don't quite make the journey too well.

I meant to post this on the FL board, but for some reason must have had RCI on my mind.

Could someone with powers be move it.

      Thanks.

I have this discussion on Mouse-oriented boards all the time. It turns out that even the Mouse knows these things, because the period from President's Week to Easter is more expensive than any time other than Christmas. Of course, none of the Mouse-heads understand this: "Why is late February so expensive? The parks are empty then!"

Um, I don't know...perhaps because it's freaking cold up here, and much warmer down there?

Does not look like this year will be the same.

It's warmer today, 60-ish, with 70's starting tomorrow.

This weather is driving me crazy. I had to put the A/C on for a few hours because the house actually got too hot. Go figure.
