  • Orange lake, Which area to pick?

It has been about 6 years since we were last in OLCC. Last time we stayed right in the center which is I think North side Village. They were building a new area at the time that had a lazy river, Was that the East or West Village. If I am staying here 1 week where do I stay now or if I am staying 2 weeks what 2 areas do I pick? I have 2 bedrooms open for all 3 area's, BTW I will have a 8 and a 6.

    River Island.

Units there are in a midrise, with an entrance/exit directly into River Island. It has it's own RCI resort ID, 8881.

I posted a link that did not work, but you can take a look at it in the online resort directory.

Hopefully, while you are there the wind will not be from the East.

Weird when I put in 8881 I get the other 3 area's mentioned in my first post but nothing that says River Island.

I am looking for Summer 2011 but my wife is saying she now does not want to go in the summer but that is the only time We can go that does not conflict with the kids and wifes Schedule. We are going to talk about it today with both Family's. If we come up with a date other than summer and I can not go to OLCC I am not going to Orlando.

Do you see any 3 bedrooms. I think North and East are the 2 I should be looking at, Years ago we also stayed at the Tennis courts which was close to the main building but we still had to drive there. I wonder if I should look for a Disney resort with II?

                    No 3 bedrooms.

Since Disney is RCI now I don't think you'd get one out of II. When was the last time Angela even posted one?

April 24, 2009 was the last posted ex-op for Disney in II.

If you can't see them with your RCI weeks I doubt you'll get one. 3BRs are very rare. What about HGVC resorts? Should bulkbank 2011 at some point. Hard to say when the way things are recently.

I agree, North and East. We have had 3-bedroom units in both. We would favor East, to be near one of the smaller poolplexes over there. Cuz they have hot tubs. Seems like when we stayed in North, which was with extended fam, we drove to East for a hot tub.

We drove to home for a BBQ. :cool.

We got an un-updated 3 bedroom in the East Village in August 08 that was not very nice. Had stayed in a 3 bedroom in 04 and unit was in good shape. Maybe they all have been updated now. Biggest complaint was bugs.

All of ours have been nice.

Bugs just come with the place. I don't recall ever having any inside to units. When we were in the North Village, two stays ago, they had the spider patrol out every day.

Some of common areas are not kept very clean.

With all the nice resorts in Orlando, why are you so set on OLCC? Personally, I think that the Houses at Summer Bay is the way to go. I've stayed at both River Island and Houses at Summer Bay if you have any questions.

I feel in love with OLCC years ago, IMO there is so much there that I do not need to leave the resort, One of my son's main memory of Orlando was driving the mouse boats around the lake,
