  • Need Calini Beach Club Information.

Where is Unit 614? (It doesn't appear to be 6 floors tall).

What type of building(s) went up across the road, between Calini and the beach?

All in all, considering the state of exchanging into something decent in (almost) SW FL, not bad questions to have to be asking.

Maybe I'll go down the road and try out the hot tub at Sandpiper, and hang out with my good friend Doug.

There is no unit 614 at Calini, top floor units are 401 - 406. The Hyatt is the new building and it interferes with the view from -06 units and maybe somewhat the -05 units. Other units have a 2 story building that blocks view from 10- units. Parking is underneath, though, so the first floor units at Calini are actually at the heigth of the second floor units across the street (where there isn't parking underneath).

I took it for 2012, a settlefor. A nice place where we don't want to be in lieu of a crappy place where we do want to be. I still have an ongoing for our other week, with a virtual personal guarantee that it will come through.

Still planning on golf at Rotonda (only 35 miles) and your place (a little further ).

As to the Unit 614, it is not. The unit # is not listed.

Is this picture representative of the view, or have the one-level and two-story across the road been replaced?

These look like the view from a second floor unit maybe 203 or 202. You see more of the gulf from 3rd or 4th floor.

So it is a current picture; the older, low-level buildings across the road are still there?

Here's a link for you on where the units are located.
Here's another with a description of the property. I own at one of their sister properties and they are well maintained.

Yes, the older, two-story yellow building is still there.

No unit assignment. Looks like it will be done check-in week.

There HAS to be a unit number......Every owner at Calini owns a specific unit and week, so try calling RCI when they reopen (if unit is not visible on your confirmation).

Jim, we called about a week before we were headed there and requested a higher floor at the north end of the building. I don't remember what our unit number was. One of the nice things was that WiFi was free.

Could you remind me of that on or about January 10, 2012.

The post before yours conflicts with yours. In 20 years, 110-plus exchanges, we have never traded into a unit-specific resort that did not list the unit on the Confirmation.

The last few years when we go to an area like that, with several resorts or condos in close proximity, there is a choice of wi fi. Often one nearby is stronger than the one where we're at.

RCI says it is not for a specific unit . . . it is probably assigned the week of checkin . . . and if it is a specific unit, the resort does not shre that with RCI.

Next, maybe, I'll get Calini's answer, if I can.
