Disney's Boardwalk Villas, or Beach Club......I love staying at either of these because you can walk to Epcot, and we tend to often eat there. Also, it's a short boat ride/long walk to Universal. I also enjoy the various shops/restaurants on the boardwalk.Angela
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Never stayed at DVC, but most of the Orlando area resorts are very nice. They have to be with all the resorts in the area. Of those we have stayed at, perhaps Summer Bay was the favored or at least most recent one. It would be even tougher to pick the worst one we ever stayed at.

One special one for us
We have stayed at over 2 dozen Orlando resorts, including Disney, Wyndham, Marriott and many others, and virtually all are very nice, the area demands that.
We have always returned to our top favorite (so much so that I long ago became intimately involved as an owner/ Board member) Cypress Pointe Resort. The best combination of location (proximity to everything and planned community that creates a very pedestrian friendly area missing at most resorts), resort features, size and unit size and quality. We loved it in 1992 and we love it today. As the sales personnel said "our Florida home". It feels like it is.

But, if you're talking about a short boat ride/long walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios that's another thing.........
Just kidding, but couldn't resist.
Beach Club is our favorite so far for the same reasons listed above. No complaints with SSR either but it doesn't really have much of a wow factor, given the choice between the two we'd choose BCV everytime (unless we want to try the Treehouse Villas at SSR).
We'll be at the Animal Kingdom Villas in exact 2 weeks which we're really looking forward to. In terms of off-site I've only stayed at Vistana, with my first stay being some 25+ years ago, and most recent was pre-refurb but we still really liked it. My folks got suckered into buying a week at Vistana in the early 80s after an all-morning high pressure sales pitch - I still remember how exhausted he looked when he returned to our villa after that.
They still have it, and while it may/may not have been cost-effective over the long haul it has provided many great vacations. Still trying to determine what the best option is to do with this as they don't necessary want it anymore but doesn't really make sense to dump it for $1 after paying the big assessment. Although it may not fit what I'm looking for in my 2nd TS, I may just end up paying their MFs and using it, think it's 64k annual points in RCI which should be able to get us some nice accomodations but obviously no DVC trades due to the regional block.
Part of me wishes that we never stayed on-site because of all of the great resorts in the area that can be had for so much less, but for us after staying on-site the first time we were hooked.

Um, something tells me the boat doesn't go all the way Universal, and I don't think that trying to walk there is a very effecient use of your vacation time either

Our favorite ones in Orlando are Disney's Villas at Wilderness Lodge, Saratoga and Old Key West, and the Beach Club Villas. Moving to Marriott it's Cypress Harbour. With the Hilton's I really like the new Hilton Parc Soleil. I'm staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek in about two weeks so I'll see if I like it as well as the others I've mentioned.
There are so many great resorts in Orlando that it's quite hard to pick one. If I had to pick one overall as my MOST favorite, it would be Marriott's Cypress Harbour.

Favorites by far are Boardwalk or Beach Club Villas. Next would be any DVC just because they are on site. Off site, Bonnet Creek and Marriotts Cypress Harbour would probably tie for first place. Also liked HGVC at Sea World.
We have been timesharing since 1984 and go to DW at least 3 times a year, usually more so we have stayed at many TS there. There have been a lot of good ones and only two that we would never go back to.
