A friend is willing to sell me her rci week (not points), but she cannot check what is available until I pay her and she pays her membership. I was hoping some kindhearted soul out there might be willing to tell me what is available around orlando for either week 25 or 26. I would really hate to pay and then find that there is nothing I'm interested in! I completely understand if this is too much to ask

If you are looking for this year picking a resort will be slim. For next year you will have a better chance of getting something. I did a quick look and there were about 15 resorts with space during the two weeks you ask about, but since I don't know what you will have for deposit and how long it has been deposited it is difficult to tell if you could even see anything for this summer.

The other approach is to put in an ongoing search if you can't see anything you like, and wait for a cancellation. As long as you have a relatively broad set of resorts you'd be willing to accept you've got a real good chance.
