  • All Inclusive? Any in Florida?

What time shares in Florida have all Inclusive options?

i.e. for an extra fee maybe have buffet time meals available (breakfast, lunch, dinner + snacks through the day) and also alcohol/cocktails at bars etc.

Sorta like the all inclusives that are common in Mexico, dominican republic, cuba, etc.

All the Disney DVC's offer an all inclusive for a fee.

There is a club med (not timeshare) in Sandpiper, FL

That's the only ones I know of.

Very interesting question and one I've never thought about before!

Other than the Disney meal plans- I also can't think of anything in Florida that compares to the all inclusive resorts of Mexico and the Caribbean.

I wonder why? Do you think the competition from cruiselines impact this- or is it just that the region is so fully developed that there is simply too much to do off resort and therefore an all-inclusive option simply isn't as marketable?

I've often wondered myself why they don't do this in the US.

Probably because they'd lose money unless they leased the space to Golden Corral.

I think this works well in other countries where the dollar is stronger so the meal plans make sense. Even Disney dining doesn't always make sense financially, especially if you have a kitchen in the TS.
I've only benefited from the dining plan when staying in a studio.

I've always been curious to try out that Sandpiper resort but I don't really care for the beach. I think their market is probably more Europeans & Canadians than Americans. Just guessing.

My guess is that labor rates make this prohibitive in the US, since food service is very labor-intensive.

I've been told by timeshare people (including salespersons) that all inclusive is a HUGE moneymaker for the resort in Mexico. I assume that anything that makes big money for them, isn't a good deal for me.

All-inclusive resorts are nothing like a Golden Trough (Corral). I don't see the comparison at all.
