This should be the Street View, and it is not the place I'm thinking of.

I'm always amazed by Street View.

I can see now that all it takes to make a Florida Gulf resort a Mediterranean getaway is four columns.

Speaking of Street View, has anyone noticed that there is a little person standing where the Street View is, and you can click on that figure and drag it to a new location, and there is a new Street View.

How in the heck do they do that, get the bajillions of images it would take to do that?

For those keeping score, I just booked a 1-bedroom condo for them on Hotwire at Mystic Dunes Resort and Golf Club, in Kissimmee. It's on Old Wilson Lake Road, just 4 blocks from where it all started for us.

Judging from reviews, it is a timeshare, maybe formerly known as The Palms.

1-bedroom for one night . . . $63.

RT airfare for 3
Two nights in rental condos

Oh yeah, for a rental car they got an HHR, and like that.

Their mini-review of Mystic Dunes in Orlando was not so stellar:

Huge place. Typical 80's timeshare condo.

One of the other gals did ask DW how I knew there was a free-standing jacuzzi in the master suite.

They made it to Via Roma and I got a sunset phone call. It sounded like two chattering 8-year olds in the background, cuz they just had their first dolphin sighting.

Actually I had just sat down to find a Sarasota area beach cam, to call them and share the sunset with them, which I did.

It's DW's first real summer beach vacation and she/they are really all gaga over it.

The extent of the resort review is that it is an OK place to hang your hat, clean and OK, and the beach is the feature. She won't be counting the china and silverware or anything like that, so unless anything really out of place happens, that's the review.

Then my golfing buddy, hubby of one of the gals, called and I told him I just shared the sunset with them.

With had friends who visit every year come by the dock and they were there when she called earlier, so she got to say Hi to them.

A heads-up on Alamo Car Rental.

They stuck her $93 for insurance without ever asking her. The lady at the counter said, "Initial here. Initial here. Sign here."

DW has a contract (receipt) with no initials and no signature.

Now I am having to dispute that and do the Alamo customer service run-around.
