  • Sanibel beach club ????

I just got a 2br for 7/14/2012 checkin. It is a bottom floor unit, 2 BR, with w/d/ screened in porch. It is very rare to find an opening there, but since the last update there it was!!

I know it's not a Marriott, but do you know any reason I should not take it? I can cancel tomorrow with no penalty.

    Thanks, Shaggy

      Frank you are BAD!!!

Shaggy, take it, insure it and then if something happens and you can't go, or change your mind you get your week and exchange fee back.

        shaggy:

We own at SBCI and are here now. It is not a Marriott, we stayed at Marriott Marbella in April. OTOH, it is clean, it is nice, the board makes on-going improvements, management is very responsive to our needs, and the location is very nice.

If you want internet, be sure to pay the $10 and get the I-Bridge upon check-in. If you want to bicycle, sign-out a bike at the office. They use Billy's Bikes here. No need to rent one yourself unless you want a fancy 10 speed.

Any other questions, please ask. Keep in mind that my response may be delayed. Today is a bike ride to Over Easy Cafe, on to Ding Darling, we'll go thru the center when it opens, and then bike ride thru Ding Darling. No telling when we'll be back. I'll reply either this evening or tomorrow morning. After all, we are on Sanibel so we are on Sanibel time.

          Yeah for you Shaggy.

If you haven't been to Sanibel you are going to love it. July is perfect swimming weather, the dolphins are everywhere and the shelling fantastic.

Only negative is the mosquitoes after dark so bring some OFF.

For those who have been all but cut off by RCI after more than 20 years of loyalty (I now see 150 to 170 in SW FL, where I useta see 600-plus), these types of threads are a little frustrating.

I b'lieve this resort has a VRI preference - it's about the only one I see anymore, other than Caribe and Surfrider.

                  Shaggy, enjoy!!

I was torn between this and the 2br at Jackson Pines, but going to Australia I didn't feel like I could afford to expensive vacations. This was the first time I truly had some awesome choices.

I spotted this on Sunday after they did the update. It seems to me that's when the best trades are. I don't think they always go to people who have request in on a search. ( That's just my hunch) They mean to but somehow it gets lost in the rubble. shaggy

Is this the resort with parking underneath, so even the "first" floor is up a flight of stairs? It has been several years, but I remember liking it except that we were on the top floor and got very tired from carrying in all the luggage. It was the first week of a two week trip and we seemed to have a lot of stuff.

We were there around July 4th and it was too darn hot for me. But that's just me.

Otherwise I don't recall any complaints and the beach was beautiful.

Sheila: You are referring to Sanibel Beach Club II. It is up the road a bit and built after Sanibel Beach Club I by the same developer.
