It was planned for Wilton Manors, a small city north of Ft Lauderdale with a large and active gay community. Residents protested the proposed development, so developers have announced they will now look for a new location.

It was planned for Wilton Manors, a small city north of Ft Lauderdale with a large and active gay community. Residents protested the proposed development, so developers have announced they will now look for a new location.

A quick read establishes that the objections were about traffic/congestion and noise. The leader of the protests is an openly gay former Mayor.

Harbor Hill in PTown also has a similar "notice" in its RCI posting, though I think Harbor Hill may be more "straight friendly" than The Gardens.

there was a gay resort in Wsconsin Dells, but I believe that they sold the resort to a timeshare developer.
