Thrift stores here have been a long-time passtime for DW and her GFs. I shoulda started earlier in the week, cuz I coulda used a weedeater, blower and kayak.

I learned enough about kayaks to know I need to learn more about kayaks. I had a couple spotted on CL, but just played phone tag on both.

DW and her guests will do some more thrift store and cl home furnishing in August.

Incidentally, the house two down from us, the same plan only the carport has not been "added" on/closed in, is listed . . . . $99,900.

One thing I have not mentioned is that Boca Grande, just down the road, is a Tarpon-fishing mecca, with lots of tournaments and television programs. I've been there a few times this week.

It's interesting how many "lose" their fish to sharks before they can get them in.

(Somehow that relates to timesharing.)

Just when I thought it was safe, DW is buying another fannie mae.

Heading to our FL place for a week next Monday, to get some things ready for winter.

DW's became problematic today, so I guess I'll be getting involved tomorrow.

Specifically, our county started a new program this year, each selling house is inspected by the County Health Department for deficiencies in the septic system and well. This way deficient systems will get updated sooner or later.

On the house we are buying, the "septic line" just went into the woods.

We've been told that if we still buy it, will have 12 months to put in a proper septic system.

DW still wants it, but I am requiring her to record an affidavit stating she is not in her right mind.

We will have to do a survey for sure, now, and clear the property.

I found out a lot of interesting history at the Assessor, Recorder and Health Department today. Nothing that helps us . . . just interesting.

This is the second foreclosure on this house.

No, the new property is where we live "up north". It has become problematic to the pooint where we will likely be allowed to withdraw our offer without having to give up the earnest money. Probably today.

The pictures are of Manasota Beach and the canal our winter home is on. The canal picture is from the dock two houses away from ours. It is listed for sale.

No, the new property is where we live "up north". It has become problematic to the point where we will likely be allowed to withdraw our offer without having to give up the earnest money. Probably today.

DW's done deal is now undone, with no hassle from Fannie Mae. It is now listed as Back On Market.

It will not likely sell to anyone cuz it is contained within a larger local family's property, they are the one's who "lost" it, their cooperation is needed, and they will not give it.

It is a small tract (1/2 acre) of their 20-acre tract, which the parents deeded to a son 20 years ago. He or whoever lost it to foreclosure twice that I can see, but he and his sister still own the 20 acres. Their cooperation is needed for the septic and water.

She is OK, but he will not assist anyone who buys the 1/2 acre tract.

If it had not been for the County's new Transfer Certificate, we woulda been stuck with a mess.

Do your homework . . . including checking a property's history, and checking out the neighbors.
