DW made an offer on another Fannie Mae one here. The agent's answer, "They have another offer," or "They're getting another offer," or something really vague like that.
When you make an offer, what you expect to hear back is Yes, No, or a counter. The agent wanted her to make another offer before hearing back on the first offer.
Is that any way to run a train?
So, DW called her back today and said, "I made my offer, cash, and we'll close any time they want." Period.

Another house a couple blocks away is in an online auction right now, 2 days left. I don't give us much of a chance since there is only one house and several buyers. A couple of buyers are already bidding against each other. When we got our FL house, there were more than 100 houses on that auction.
Our agent said they (agents) do not like auctions cuz they try to cut out the agents.
We had an agent call to show the house we are living in to a prospect who was shopping foreclosures. Now there are some areas of the Ozarks with forecast highs of 113-115. Actual highs, with heat indices over 120. Had a heat index of 123 today.

I haven't look at Ft. Myers, Bonita Springs, Estero foreclosure in awhile, but there seems to be another surge, a lot with price reduced:

Here is a neat drive. It's Manasota Key Road. As you cross from Charlotte County into Sarasota County heading north, the canopy over the road is not cleared. At some places it is a tree tunnel.

Do your homework . . . including checking a property's history, and checking out the neighbors.
When I had viewed it on the County GIS,it appeared that part of the front yard and driveway were not on the property, so I told DW we would have to spend 800 bucks on a survey. Also, the road coming into it is on another property with no recorded easement.
Because of our failure to be able to get a County Transfer Certificate and my observations about a questiobale property line, fannie mae ordered a survey. It turns out part of the house is not on the lot either.
So, it is totally unsellable, and given the circumstances, uncorrectable. Our agent said fannie mae is going to give it back to the lender and let them be stuck with it.
