  • DW and her GFs have a lot of it decorated, with furniture coming today.

She morning she said it is wonderful, that this place is the one, and worth the hassle. I got an attaboy and one of these:

Ours disappeared from homepath yesterday, so they must wait until they actually close to remove them. I see there are some still on there that were "Under Contract" long before our offer was accepted . . . so there are ones even harder to get bought than ours. For so many buyers, unwilling to go through what we went through, or do what I had to do, without any help from the selling side, I can see why they would bail.

I feel like I should file a complaint with the Florida Real Estate Commission, because soooo many things were not done right . . . but the last ten years I've learned to pick my fights, that some are not worth the effort. I also understand why the listing agents do not do anything, cuz they have probably been run ragged with these foreclosures, with little to show for their efforts.

It still is stupid to foreclose on many of these, when there would have been far less loss to just modify the original mortgages with the previous owners.

The furniture arrived and the girls sent me pictures. I don't think they wanna come home.

Just a reminder . . . another live SW FL auction tomorrow. You can watch it by webcast, and they are interesing. It goes fast, less than five minutes per house, and you have to be watching to see what they go for.

There's an Englewood one, that would be an okey dokey winter home. It's on Langsner and we've looked at it.

The Englewood one has a previous value of $161,400, is listed on Homepath for $59,900, and went for $35,000 in the live auction. We will be able to see if that is accepted if the listing goes to Under Contract on Homepath.

Until the appraisal goes back up.

I knew that was coming. I meant to say "go up before we can homestead."

Just a note on traveling to Florida . . . DW spent $480 on gasoline. I just booked flights for both her and her Mom . . . $236 total RT.

It makes the driving or flying decision pretty simple.

                              • What a shame that gas prices are very high...The airlines will start charging more. Here in CT we are paying $3.99 per gallon. That was as of last night. Up, Up up it goes.
