Closest Timeshare to Universal Parks

We are thinkirg of taking a quick trip middle of December to Orlando and maybe just going to Universal. It will be hard for me to skip D isney but this is a costcutter trip.

Anyways my question is, which Timeshare (Wyndham or RCI) is closest to the Universal Theme Parks?

Also is there one that might have a shuttle service to the parks? We will be flying in and probably will rent a car but just wondered.

I own at the Orlando International resort which is Wyndham. It is very close but a very long walk.

We will probably rent a car but would like to be closer than what Bonnet Creek is. Does anyone know how much it cost to park at Universal?

If I remember correctly it was $20 a day for parking.

In RCI, I think HGVC would have something that would be pretty close to Universal.

Wyndham's Orlando International is the closest; I put my wife and kids up there last February for a Universal visit. The $20 is for VIP parking. "Regular" parking is $15.

Thanks everyone for the info. I think we have changed out plans again....

We are going to go ahead and get a Disney Annual pass and try to get a place at Bonnet Creek. We are going back Thanksgiving of 2012 and I think buying the pass will save a few dollars.

This is what my dear husband is giving me for graduation. I am older but will be graduating with my bachelors degree in Behavioral Science in December. I am so excited about the graduating and the short trip!!!!!

I really want to see the Harry Potter stuff but will have to save that for another trip.

I prefer Wyndham too. Not too far and the walk from there to Universal is quite better and enjoying.
