Ok, so here is the situation I am in. We gave up our 2-bedroom week in Orlando at Westgate Palace (no negativity here, I know people do not like them 
with MF’s of approximately $730 to DAE back in November.
Now, my brother-in-law’s brother wants to know if he can use our week. Obviously, since it was given to an exchange company, the answer is no. My question is, what are the chances I can find him something to check in on July 1st, that would be comparable? I realize the chances are slim being Independence Day, so before spending time trying to help them out want to see if it is even worth it.
I am all out of BG points so booking a BG unit or exchanging through RCI on that account is a bust. Anything through SVC is probably much more than they want to spend, as they would be looking at $1200 or so with exchange fees in.
My last two options are, are getting an exchange through SFX or DAE for this week. What are the chances of getting something in a decent property? I can use one of my bonus weeks with SFX or the deposit that I have with DAE and just pay the exchange fee. Is this dreaming or would I be in a good position to put in a request? How long should I wait before telling them to go and book something else?
