I figure the chances of getting a house at SB during Presidents week 13 are not good. Not a big deal, just wondering what people have to say about the resort. I am in charge of the billeting for the trip and don't want to make a bad choice. I have been searching for the condos, or not the villas. Thanks for the feedback.

We stayed there in a 3 br. lock-off across from the reception/recreation building. Not sure if it was a condo or villa. We had a family of 7 in a 10/10 rated unit and were comfortable. The houses were also nearby.

Presidents week is week 7We just stayed in a 2 bedroom there and the rooms were very nice and large all new. The odds of heting the houses are slim. I was trying for 2 years but I was also looking for peak summerTimeshareforums Shirts and Mugs on sale now! http://www.cafepress.com/ts4ms

Some advice :
If possible , avoid the villas and try to get condos located at the north end of the resort . There's a great pool and this part of the resort is by far the best spot ; a new great resort within a resort that is losing ground. No comparism between the two . And far from the mini-lake and the continuous noise of the jet-skis.
These condos are new and the villas are getting old and are not so clean and some are not well-maintained. I own a 3 bdr lock-out in the "old part of SB " and my wife can't even open or close the patio doors because of the rust .....
AVOID AT ALL COST : the weekly presentation/sales pitch .... the supposely 90 minute pitch lasts in fact close to 2,30 minutes .... you wait to take a bus that brings you to the north end of the resort ... where you should stay .... They really put some pressure ; really aggressive and rude sales people. A bus city tour (condos ) where we avoided the bad part of town ( villas ) . AVOID !!
The houses are the best deal , condos at the North end a very nice option ; as for the villas , very average !!

Thank you so much for the info. I will stay away from the villas and toss some coins in a well pertaining to the houses. Missed an opportunity at a 3bdr at the condos when I first started to search but am still holding onto some hope.

Sheepdog,
If you have no luck with the houses, the new condos at the north end are located at "building 500" ; by far the best area of the resort. Large pool , nice bar ( the BIG KAHUNA ) and a lot less crowdy and noisy than the pool near the front office. With the villas, it's pretty much a coin flip . If the villas are the only option , a few 3 BDR lockout a view on the lake ( number 204/102) .
Last time I went , they had upgraded the gift for attending the presentation to a $100 credit directly on your mastercard. It was very popular but that will eat up close to 3 hours of your time. but here's what you can do ;
Show up and make sure they credit your MC ; put up with the first part (one hour ) ; for the second part ( condo visit ) , a bus will be waiting in front of the building ; as you exit the building , go straight to your car and leave. That's what I did and it worked.Two sales people ran after me and tried to put me the bus, but I was able to escape and went directly to the Orlando Premium Outlet and bought a nice pair of reebok. I will be even faster when I run away for the next Summer Bay presentation.
Unless they changed the process and credit your MC only after you attended the whole presentation, it will work again.
Good luck

Hilarious. I like your style. I don't even know if I could pull that off, but would love to give it a try.

I had the privilage to see a lecture from LTC (RET) Dave Grossman at a police academy graduation. It was pretty inspiring. I am one of the sheepdogs among sheep.
