  • Sanibel Beach Club?

If anyone wants to meet up (and I'm hoping for at least one) I'll be staying there from Sat July 14th thru the following Sat in Unit 301.

Does anyone know where this unit is located? I can't get hold of the office and I just found out it doesn't have elevators. Please tell me it's on the bottom floor as stairs can be a challenge. Do you know how close it is to the beach itself?

PS: I forgot to ask about restaurant and attraction recommendations. I know to go to Ding Darling and the Shell Museum but that's about it. TIA

Shaggy: There is no unit 301. Sanibel Beach Club I has eight buildings, 1-8, each with A, B, C. D unit designations. Units A and B are bottom floor. Units C and D are top floor.

Here's the website: Sanibel Beach Club

You may check the building map.

Sanibel Beach Club II has similar building and unit designations. Here is the website: Sanibel Beach Club II

Sounds to me like you'd better determine where exactly you are staying. I hope this was an exchange, or something easy to deal with. If it is a private rental, you may have been scammed. I don't know without further information.

You have time, but I'd get on this right away. I just spoke to the manager of SBC-1 yesterday. They are easy to reach, and the answering machine works.

Perhaps you are staying at Shell Island or another resort nearby?

So far as restaurants, Gramma Dot's is a must. We lunch there, but others swear by the dinners. Timbers is good. Trader's is also very good. There are so many restaurants of high quality, you can hardly go wrong. There is one new restaurant I'd like to steer you away from, called Cips. If it is still there, don't bother.

Captiva Cruises is very good. Shelling cruises, sunset cruises, hamburger in paradise, pick a cruise and go.

Sanibel Thriller is also good for a fast, high action ride.

Kayaks at Tarpon Bay are fun. Tarpon Bay Explorers will also take you out. Very pleasant.

I'll try to monitor Timeshare Forums during the day, but my wife and I are very busy. Good luck with determining exactly where you are staying.

Ok, RCI # 3189 It just says plain old Sanibel Beach Club, no 1 or 2 it's unit 3A. Whew, sounds like it's bottom floor. That's a good thing. Hope it's close to the water. FYI, I hardly ever know where I am or where I'm going but I usually find it and have an adventure to tell about it. Why heck, I've found myself in the basement of an airport parking garage.

You are in SBC1. Follow the link to see the layout of the units. 3 faces Nerita street. The lanai has a view of the pool. It is a short walk out the front door and to the left to the beach.
