That's cause all the PCC's are in Orlando.

They also work that pizza scam really hard at all the resorts so of course there is a ton of credit card fraud there.
I can't remember a resort where I've stayed lately that didn't have the pizza scammer flyers thrown under my door more than once in my week there.

As someone who visits Chicago pretty regularly, I pay more attention to localized crime rates than to crime rates for the city (or area) overall. Crime rates can vary enormously from one neighborhood to the next, especially when it comes to violent crimes.

Last time I looked at the local breakdowns, the areas of Orlando I'm most likely to go aren't bad -- high in the kinds of crimes common to any touristy area (pick pocket, snatch and grab, breaking into cars for packages), but on par with places like Gatlinburg or Myrtle Beach, so pretty average in that sense. Although I think there's some bad areas by the airport, or between the airport and where I'd more likely go; doubt that makes much difference for someone who gets a rental or a shuttle from the airport but I'm unenthused about my son taking public transportation in from there.

We have not felt comfortable in lots of the Orlando area for a long time. It's schocking, for instance, to do a Predator search in s Zip codes of some of the resorts. I know some a you know where I'm going with this, but some addresses have actually been in OLCC.

Strangely, the Branson area has had five murders already this year. Because it's actual population is so low for a place with 7 million visitors a year, its crime rate is high.

My credit card always insists on being notified every time I leave the country for Florida.

I'd be far more worried in many areas of Oakland, CA among others than ever the worst parts of Orlando.

I spose I should go dig up the thread someone started about the gunshots from just over the fence, next-door, to the resort where this all started for us. Not my thread, either.

OK, you made me do this>>>within 5 miles of OLCC:
