Taking a cruise out of Miami- thought I would extend my vacaton where to stay?

We are taking a cruise that departs out of Miami. Any recommendations on where to stay. Hoping to catch a cab to the ship vs getting a car.

I believe you can only get a week at a time here but if you only need a few days try Golden Strand in sunny Isles beach.
It's usually pretty easy to get in RCI points.

Marriott beach place in FL great area to be at and you are 5 min's to the ships. There is some fun restaurants on the same block of the resort as well as a 3 floor mall that the resort is attached to.
