My review of Wyndham's Royal Vista resort in Pompano Beach, FL.
I had unit 7703 which is an ocean view unit in the back building.
I booked using the Wyndham club points internal system.
Unit 7703 is a 1 bedroom with a wrap around balcony with a nice view.
The unit is a 1 bedroom 2 bath which is convenient if anyone uses the couch
bed which we did. Can sleep 4 comfortably.
The rooms seem to be recently renovated and are very comfortable.
This resort feels like it's somewhere other than Pompano beach.
Pompano is usually sleepy but this resort is hopping with a tiki hut
and resort vibe.
There is a beach chair service for a reasonable $5 a day with a weekly
discount of $25. A little more for an umbrella. I have my own so
didn't use the umbrella service.
The resort has two pools. One is in the shade most of the day and is
a bit cooler which is the back pool. There is no hot tubs but there is
a kiddie pool.
The resort has a small convenience store with limited hours.
The tiki bar serves great Margaritas.
For some reason when I stay at this resort it reminds me of the nice
Mexican resorts that I have been to in Cancun.
Has lots of activities if you want to do them or you can just relax with
you margarita on the beach. All they need are the waiters to bring
your drink to the beach which unfortunately is illegal in FL.
Wifi is free and works well.
Parking is free and is in a covered parking garage in the same building.
Using the luggage carts is a bit inconvenient because they lock them
up and you have to get a key from the front desk and then return it
again. I guess that's their way of making sure nobody keeps a
luggage cart in their rooms.
I attended the sales pitch. It was very different than in the past.
They did give me $100 Amex Gift card.
The pitch was very easy. They have a pitch man put everyone
in a big room together to explain the CWA.
Then they break you up after about an hour of listening to the
pitch about the wonders of the CWA.
My sales guy didn't even bother to come and get me. I had to
go find him. LOL. I think maybe he remembered me from last time.
Poor guy. We ended up chatting about the real estate market instead
of the CWA cause he knew I purchased resale.
