I don't know if "bad" is the right word, but how undesirable, exactly, is Weston?

While other Florida areas have relatively no availability in January, 2016, Snowbird Season, and some areas have nothing available, Weston has this:

It is nice, and it would be warmer than Orlando. It is not on the beach, but it is a good spot to visit everglades and to take a tour of Miami (which we did while there very reasonable)

Weston is actually an upscale residential community.
The timeshares are really quite nice.
I'm going in January for a few days.

There's is always beaucoup availability there, and I'm chuckling because I think RCI thought there was, too. The last big hurricane season, everyone that could not go to their original resorts got rebooked into one of the Weston resorts, and they overbooked them.

There is beaucoup availability there because there are three timeshares there in the middle of where regular people live.
Kind of like Lehigh but much nicer. http://www.westonfl.org

It's great for a snowbird wanting to live like a native Floridian for a while, but not much in the way of tourist attractions for year round appeal.
Well unless you want to see gators and outlet malls. :roll eyes:

I've only stayed in Mizner place but it was actually very nice.
I stay there when I want to go to a multi day convention in Ft. Lauderdale and don't want to drive to Miami.

And their "tour" incentive is very attractive.
They gave me a $250 VISA card and a free lunch at Bonaventure Country Club just to listen to their sales pitch.
Of course I didn't buy and knew more than the poor sales lady, but it was worth spending a few hours there for the $250.
And the sales rooms were packed to the gills with retirees here on vacation.
It was more crowded than any Wyndham or Westgate one I have been to.
They really know how to hook you in.

they have an 8 week limit for exchangers, many go and spend 8 weeks of winter there. no laundry facilities in the units, so makes it hard in my point of view to spend 8 weeks there.

One can never grow tired of spending your vacations listening to people tell you how you can spend your vacations.
