  • Orlando Timeshares

What is your favorite Orlando timeshare outside of a Disney one? The ones we have like:

    Bonnet Creek
    Vistanna - Cascades
    Cypress Pointe - 3 bedroom
Summer Bay (bit out of the way)

How do people like Silver Lake?

We're staying at Silver Lake in November, and hoping we'll like it! We tend to prefer the quieter resorts, and it looks to be much quieter than Bonnet Creek or Vistana, from what I can tell (haven't stayed in either of those but have friends who own there).

We like Orlando Sunshine pretty well for an Orlando vacation, but it's not the best choice if you're mostly doing Disney. It's across I-4 from Universal, so well suited for that if you don't mind that the resort itself is tiny and there's not a lot of onsite activities. Also good if you're going to spend time in Winter Park and otherwise wander considerable. I wouldn't recommend it if you're going while school is out and want to do the Disney Parks; too far away and traffic would be an issue. But, again, we prefer quiet resorts with big units, while it looks like you guys prefer the high energy ones.

We stayed at Summer Bay and liked it. I didn't think it was out of the way.

Three that I have liked are
                - Marriott Horizons (which I believe is now called Harbour Lake)
                - Cypress Pointe
                - Silver Lake

If you are going to Disney World a lot, Cypress Pointe is very close to Downtown Disney and Silver Lake close to Animal Kingdom (2 miles). The Silver Lake complex has several sections and I've been told that some of them aren't nearly as nice as the one we stayed in, but I can't verify that. And although I really liked Horizons, it is further away from WDW and I really don't like driving in the Orlando traffic.

We like The Fountains, it is a Bluegreen resort off International Drive.

We have stayed in over a dozen Orlando resorts over the years. Here are my favourites:

                    The Houses of Summer Bay
                    Summer Bay
                    Grand Beach
                    Silver Lakes
Vacation Village @ Parkway (because of the set-up that is perfect for travelling with friends ro family)

Have you stayed at OLCC or Wastegate or Vistana?

They are the ones that started it all there.

I've stayed at Vistana and Westgate and both were nice. I thought the pools were better at Vistana. Next week we are staying at HGVC at Seaworld. I'm hoping it is as nice as it looks.

That is one that I'm surprised has not come up in this thread. But, then, when it comes to Orlando, there are a lot to choose from.

And those are the old ones. With about a hundred to choose from there are better choices and several do not have ant infestations.
