Cousin staying at OLCC now.

I told my cousin last year to book OLCC when they asked me what resort to go to in Orlando. Well they checked in yesterday and they love the place. They also have friends who booked it also. My cousin at first was getting the North Village by the lake. I told him to try to get into the Splash Lagoon but OLCC was not being to cooperative. They ended up with the west village. There friends are in the Tennis or Golf villas. They said that River island is great. I just got off the phone with them and Right now they are at the pool by the west village pool having a good time. Latter on they will check out Splash Lagoon.
BTW they ate somewhere by River Island last night. They said the food and service was very good.

What unit #?

Not sure buit I could find out by calling them. I take it that the Hot Tubs are the better units.

Large whirlpool tubs in newer places are great.

My experience did not include a large whirlpool tub. We were in the old highrises, unit # 2624. I heard they were remodeled?

My brother and his family were in OLCC in June (on my recommendation). They were placed in the West Village (no whirlpool tub in unit). They enjoyed their stay...and really liked River Island. Their only complaint was the height restriction on the RI slides...their youngest (age 5) couldn't go on the slides and was very disappointed. They didn't like the Splash Lagoon area...."too crowded" was their comment.
Basically...they used OLCC as a base for visiting Disney (Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom); came home to swim (either RI or the pool area by the main building), then relaxed in the room. I had raved about the "mini golf" (which my kids loved)...but they didn't play at all.
They much preferred OLCC to Vistana (where they had stayed a few years earlier)....and look forward to returning.

Are we talking about Exchanges?

Would those posting here mind if I add this information to my thread Over Yonder where we are trying to accumulate objective information about where exchangers get placed?

We just returned from OLCC, we thought the pool water was very warm at river island. We stayed at river island, the room was great. We brought our own rafts so we preferred to use splash lagoon and the main pool. I wanted to rent tubes for my boys at RI, but they didn't like that pool area as much as the other pools.
