Hurricane water hack.

We've run out of bottled water here in FL and it's quite the panic.
Back in the day our old school hack was to just fill pitchers, pots,
pans, and any plastic container that we could find.

Use the covered clear ones for drinking water and the
uncovered ones for bathing and flushing toilets.
Also fill the bath tub.

Stay safe any FL peeps.

Water is in short supply here on West Coast of Florida also. Gas is very hard to find. If a station has gas, it also has huge lines tying up traffic.

if you have an above ground pool boil the water in ground too much debris makes it way in from the floor

We have police officers at all the gas stations now. It's crazy.

I have an exchange for next week at the beach. I hope the resort survives the hurricane and I can go there cause if we lose power it will be weeks until we get it back. 😳

I gave up on water.
Just filling all my plastic containers.
I did get a lot of fancy fizzy water so all I need is a little rum and I am set. Lol

We have a pool on my floor so I can just use that water for the toilets if I have to.
More than likely we will lose water pressure in the building.
This is going to suck big time.

I am going to ride it out.
I do live across the bay but on the 3rd floor so hopefully we will be okay.

I do have to move my car from the underground garage so it will be a total loss.

If you run out of water you can get some out of your hot water tank. There is a valve at the bottom to let water out. Make sure to turn the power off first. If you have some Iodine you can clean your other water up. If its clear 5 drops per quart and if its cloudy 10 drops per quart.

One tip I heard was your dishwasher will keep water in or if closed will keep water out so it is a good place to store valuables/pictures,documents to keep them safe and undamaged.
