Pot-stirring without Moi? No way!

I choose not to be able to see one the posters, so I don't know what pot-stirring is going on.

I am a non-owner, incapable of passing judgement on all things OL, and I am also not a Points whiz, being just an old fuddy-duddy. But, if I understand what I am reading, is the owner not saying that he/she feels he/she is getting screwed? Is he/she not saying that because OL is now offering more, he/she is getting less?

In a nutshell....YUP.

Just checked RCI and OLCC is not updated to reflect it as a points resort.

I also am points ignorant but I don't think a points resort can be deposit as PFD UNLESS the owner converts for a substantial bit of change. So this one owner will not be having points gravy any longer and is a tad miffed about not being informed by resort that they own at.

No. It is my choice not to see them. I can if I want to.

The Ignore option really is a joke, more like a flashing neon sign telling you someone you don't care for just replied to your last post. Then, human frailty being what it is, and being thus notified by that flashing neon sign, the natural inclination is to see what they had to say, which can be done.

But, honestly, I don't have the desire to do that, 'cuz it always says about the same. Frankly, they've worn me out, or down, or something.

It occurs to me that this is kinda like cheating on your spouse (so I've been told). I find myself double-checking to see where I'm at before posting.

I suspect one of these days I will do the equivalent of saying the wrong name to the wrong person, and the next thing you know someone will be serving me papers.

Why are you going to miss the evolution of that post? I am definitely going to watch but am not going to comment. I have decided that I will no longer post against a certain person's postings anymore. Just like JLB is always trying to do, I am going to also try to do: I am going to try to let it go.

I wrote a long letter to Dave M and explained why there is so much controversy about OLCC, and it is due to one person. He wrote that I should be careful not to have my posting privileges taken away. I am far from being close to losing my privileges. I just do not understand why there are no rules for posting continuous comments about how great your resort is and how really awful it is to say anything bad about another's resort. I just want to say my opinion without being attacked.

Imagine a TUG and TS4Ms where every negative comment about a resort is defended as OLCC consistently is by several members, mostly by one. These boards would not be fun. The posts on OLCC have me riled as an exchanger.

I really am going to have to leave it alone.

OLCC is sortof like a scab that you keep picking at. I actually am ambivalent about the place. A little ( OK a LOT) too large for my tastes and the unit was ho-hum and not up to Orlando GC standards but not a bad trade for what I traded with; if you know what I mean.

I think watching the evil baby sitter spew her stuff is my morbid attraction and the TUG hierarchy's continuing blind eye toward her less than gracious remarks to anyone that disagrees with her is just as good or better than any soap opera. < WOW talk about a run on sentence>

Anyway I'm packing for Ocean City and will be less inclined to be on the internet as of Friday. I will have my laptop but am unsure of WI-FI availability there.

Well, maybe we should just post stuff that is even more positive about other resorts. Then, OLCC will pale in comparison.

You know, if someone says that the pools are great at OLCC. Then, someone else says. "You think that's great? Wow, you should see the pools at the XYZ resort. They blow away the pools at OLCC."

Then, when someone says, "There are no bad units at OLCC." Then, you post, "wow, there are no bad units at OLCC? You should see the rooms at ABC resort. They blow away the units at OLCC."

Then when someone says, "my inside sources really have their act together and the new points program will be the greatest thing since sliced bread." Then you say, "Really, that's great. My resort's management is so good that they invented cold fusion for our units. We don't even have to pay for electricity anymore. So, our maintenance fees actually went down."
