Slots License Arrives

Plans call for 500 Las Vegas style slot machines to
be installed & operational at Gulfstream by early fall

MEC is proceeding with the development of its slot facility at Gulfstream Park and expects
to have 516 slot machines installed and operational within the next several weeks.

Gulfstream Park, which opened in 1939, is located on approximately 255 acres of land
in the cities of Hallandale and Aventura, between Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

Mardi Gras Racetrack & Gaming Center
was granted the state's first slots license.

Mardi Gras' parent, Hartman & Tyner Inc., has pumped $40-million into renovating the clubhouse and plans to pour in millions more to build four restaurants, shops and a hotel,
said vice president Daniel Adkins.

There's a cap of 1,500 slot machines for each site, and
owners can't put automatic teller machines on their property.
