We have a wedding to go to on June 14, 2007. What timeshares are very close to St. Pete Beach and any recommendations? These can be either RCI, II or SFX.

Hideaway Sands
We stayed at Hideaway Sands a few years ago. Units were clean, but not fancy and smallish, but resort is directly on St. Pete Beach. The 2 bedrooms are townhouse style with parking on lower level, then a flight of outside steps to entrances with Kitchen (small and dated) Dining Area, 1/2 bath, and Living room. Steps to upper level with 2 small bedrooms and a full bath.
They also have 2 sizes of studios (per RCI). Resort classifies the larger as 1 bedroom. It has a partial wall divider between living and sleeping area. The only gulf-front units are studios, but there is also another smaller building of studios that is nearer the road, and not as desirable. Think of resort as L shaped with studios on gulf at foot of L and 2 bedrooms on long side. The other building is at top of L. They have a pool and hot tub.
(This is probably more info that you want or need, but if you do get an exchange here, I can give you more info.)
There are other resorts on St. Pete, but this is the only one we've stayed at.

Stayed there too
I've also stayed at Sand Pebbles, probably in 2005. It is nice also, just a smidge further from St. Pete Beach, but certainly a doable commute. It's also walkable distance to John's Pass Village, which makes it nice. If you want more info about it, just ask.

ps. Search for each resort and see if they list rentals. I know both rent units.
