Historically, I wasn't immune from such vanity items.

On the low end, I spent $100 in 1980 for a brick to help fund the construction of Pioneer Courthouse Square in Portland, Oregon. My kids still seek out that brick when they return to visit Portland.

On the high end, I succumbed to the enticement of my name on a founder's plaque and, thus, spent way too much for a timeshare from a developer about ten years ago!

I bought a brick in 1996, engraved with my two kids' names on it, that is in Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park downtown. I've been back to see it a couple of times since. I hope my kids do too in the future.

I now regret not buying at Madison Square Garden and eye leval at Disneyland. MSG will most likely be torn down in 20 years but Disney is for life.

Well, yes, I have brick at Moo U. But, there are bricks and there are bricks.
