Has anyone seen or stayed in the new
Orange Lake Country Club River Island
4-bedroom & 4-bath Luxury Penthouse?
OLCC RI - Models
Was able to go over and take a look at the
(1 & 2 bedroom lock-out) 3 bedroom model,
regular 2 bedroom - 2 bath model
(like the unit we are staying in)
4 bedroom penthouse with huge patio
Top (8th) floor, overlooking River Island
Reminded me of the penthouse unit at:
Fairfield/Wynham Governors Green in VA -

Odd number units face the parking lot &
Even numbers face the pool and/or pond
Our Living Room - Dining Area - Kitchen
is painted: Canary Yellow with white trim
Living Room
Beautiful Huge Flat Screen Television in the Living Room
VCR - DVD Player - No Stereo System or extra speakers
Sectional Living Room Sofa (with sofa bed)
One Chair - Coffee Table and one end table
LR Ceiling Fan without a light fixture
Three Windows with blinds and drapes
An Attractive Picture hangs over the sofa
There is a leafy tree plant in the corner
Dining Room Area
Booth Style Dining Bench with table & chairs
Light fixture hanging over the dining room table
Four pictures of fruit - 2 on each side of the DR

Full Kitchen with GE Brand - white appliances
Nice full size refrigerator with ice maker

Full Size Washer and Dryer in Hallway/Foyer Area
located between the kitchen and guest bathroom
Master Bedroom
To the left of the front doorway entrance
The Master Bedroom - with King Size Bed
This room is painted Green with double windows
looking out onto the enclosed screened in patio
Nice (computer) desk (that we placed into LR)
Full Master Bathroom with a deep whirlpool tub
and a separate corner shower - sink and toilet
Second Bedroom
To the right of the front doorway entrance
The Second (Guest) Bedroom - with 2 Queen Beds
It is painted Yellow with one wall painted Green
The Guest Bathroom can be accessed from the
2nd bedroom and/or off the main entrance hall
It is a good size with sink - toilet - corner shower
The carpeted areas have a pale green color with a hint of gold
The drapes in the living room are blue with green leaves/flowers
We love the look and feel of the Orange Lake River Island units
Our View
We can see most of the River Island Pool
a walkway and the pond area plus we have
a view of the new River Island Sales Center

River Island Get Together

We had a mini timeshare get together last night
where we got to meet a couple of tuggers and
another couple from the dis-board. Afterwards
we went over to RI to play a round of mini-golf.

Thanks for the pictures. We own in the East Village and have only stayed there, even when we exchanged our two bedroom for a three bedroom.

Orange Lake Country Club and River Island Resort
June 3, 2007
Its Sunday Morning and its time to finish packing up
to get ready for our next adventure. Today we are
driving over to stay at DVC - Disney`s Vero Beach.
We have had great weather (just a few love bugs)
It is currently 71 degrees and bright with bright and
sunny skies. Temps are expected to reach 88 today.
We have had a great experience here at Orange Lake
Our unit faced the new River Island Pool and it was
fun to sit on the screened in patio and have our meals
while looking down at the beautiful landscaped area.
We have had a wonderful time and we really hate to
leave. We wish we could stay longer at River Island.
Will miss the huge flat screen television and it looks
like that a new big screen tv will be in our future.
A few last minute notes regarding the resort & units.
Even number units face the pool area.
Odd number units face the parking lot.
The one negative is that the parking lot
in front of the RI building is too small.
It is overcrowded due to other OLCC
guests coming over to use the pool.
The Orange Lake staff and salespeople
use the parking spaces closest to the
RI doorway and we found it hard to find
a parking space to load and unload near
the door. (Not enough Handicap Spaces)
There are elevators in the middle of the building
and an open stair way in the middle area too.
Three Telephones - Kitchen/LR - Each Bedroom
Free Local Calls - 800 calls $1.00 - No Free Internet!
4 Ceiling Fans - Living Room - Each Bedroom - Patio
One Hair Dryer in Master Bathroom Only.
The patios are screened in and have a table,
four chairs and paddle fan with access off
the living room. (Much nicer than DVC SSR)
We were never asked to do the tour at check-in
and was only called "once". The person asked,
how are you guys doings and I told her that we
were not guys and she said it was a figure of
speak. I never heard from her or anyone again.
Bill and I both agree that our first Orange Lake
River Island - Experience and stay was a 9.75!Comment

What out for the Love Bugs on Vero Beach. We were there - DVC last
year at the end of May and they were a problem a couple of days. Enjoy your stay.Comment

Can anyone name all 9 RI Cabanas ?
Hint: Each one is named after a fruit
Cabana Key: Enjoy a private cabana complete with television, refreshments,
house phone, river floats, seating for four and a complimentary newspaper.Comment

my family an I were lucky enough to exchange into riverisland for Aug 25th of 2007. we used a SA silversands week to get in, it was our last trade before we dumped silversands.Comment
